Finalized: Season 9 Seedings

Hey guys, it's going to be our last season for sure, so let's have a nice finish. Formatting is different this time. We'd like to experiment with some different stuff and maybe have a few FFAs at the very end before MK8, so we're going to have a shorter season than normal (6 weeks). Divisions are in groups of 4, and we'll have 4 divisions. We also felt this split the divisions more evenly in terms of fairness. What's risky about this is that drop outs will severely hurt a division of only 4 teams, so I would like to ask to please stick with it through the whole 6 weeks. At the end we may also want to host some kind of PL Cup, but we'll see as well. Good luck to everyone this season!

Note these seedings are not finalized. They will be finalized later on, and this new season will start Saturday, March 15th.

If this is starting before the WC is over, you can count WEC out.

I think that it's better to start this season once the WC is finished because that would be complicate for some people to play both PL and WC in few hours...

WEC would participate if the season started after the World Cup. I don't know if and how the other teams are going to manage this, but WEC is pretty much inactive to the point where everyone plays no more than 45 minutes of MK7 every week (The WC match). And although most of us would like to enjoy the last few months of MK7 in a competitive environment, we're still mostly done with this game and just waiting for MK8 to come out.

Also, WEC is not MK7 only, and although this doesn't affect me personally, many of us also want to play more MKW again until they shut down the servers and kill the MKW online community forever. I heard thet the next IL season is starting very soon too. This means that Robin and the others would have to organize four MK wars every weekend (two for WC, one for PL, one for IL), and all that with a mostly inactive squad. This is too much to ask.

Seedings look nice. Although I'd prefer there to be 3 Divs like last season's format cuz it was nice with a long season and I have a feeling that dropouts would rape a 4 team division.

It was my understanding that Robin said WEC would play, that's why it's listed.

After taking a glance at WEC's IL registry it seems like very few players are on both the MKW & MK7 division, I'm not sure why it'd get to unreasonable considering every match is scheduled. I mean it's not like you have to find the wars it's just show up at a particular time, and for Europe it's at night where things seem settled for the evening by that time anyway.... We could propose to move PL an hour earlier and keep World Cup extended one hour like we recently pushed it so that there would be a nice 2 hours between start times as well. I'm doing the same thing with HD (WC/PL/IL), I honestly don't think its too difficult, just a have your team show up at a set time each week. Can we reconsider? I'd be willing to talk with WEC to try to work something out, because World Cup will be ending in mid April giving PL almost no time before MK8's launch to fit a season in, and we have a decent team amount right now whereas that number may drop or increase too much given more time.

The format was chosen because we felt like it made divisions a bit more even and we would like to have a bit more time after PL instead of MK8 immediately following.

I don't think we have to justify our decision not to play PL, but why not break it down.

Robin, Giant and Sealer play MKW.
Koopz quit MK7 and every time you see him in a DE lineup you can assume that someone violently forced him to play.
Zwiebel has not been able to connect to the internet with his 3DS for well over a week.
I myself have quit MK7, because I just don't have the motivation to stay in shape any more. And if I do play, it's just because I promised that I would play the WC and that I don't want to let anyone down...
wadsm is often not available on Saturday evenings...
...which leaves Thommy as pretty much the only player who would have no trouble playing WC and PL simultaneously.

EDIT: Robin said we would play because he was assuming that it would not start before the WC is over. After seeing this post today he said he wouldn't want to play both competitions at the same time.

Alright, I asked my teammates again and it seems like WEC will not participate. I'm sorry if this screws up your organization, but we were not aware that the season would start so early.

if there are any dropouts I can sub for Div D if needed wanted to be in PL for the last season but I missed the boat for the 3rd time.

Welp, Its the last season and my first season so I guess we'll figure out about the mk7 community after mk8 comes out.  

I hope you consider us for Division A now.

Oh, so you won against dynamite? And what should that have to do with being moved to a higher division?
Please do not act cocky and childish, if you dont get moved in to division A its because of your behaviour, and i personally hope OB stays in divsion B, i would rather prefer, for example, to have purity in division A as they arent an immature team.

Most of us don't want to play PL if OB is in our division. just saying. :\

Posting an incorrect table of a war played without our best LU is surely a proof that OB is better than DY, no doubt.

Our lu was not even our pl lu. Zap isn't DY, Jack plays for RB, and I won't play unless I have to, so Catfish is the only one.

Using one war to try to advance yourselves somewhere is sad.
